The D-Word
The frame
Lay broken,
Cold and
Alone.
Empty smiles
Locked inside.
Maybe we
Should have known.
Hurt,
Lies,
Paranoia,
And abuse.
Yeah,
I could cry;
But what would
Be the use?
My tear won't
Make a sound
As it falls.
Just our little secret;
Between me
And these walls.
My screams
Echo inside me,
Waiting to release
The pain I've
Burdened these
Past long weeks.
A rusted frame
Lay broken;
Unwanted,
Alone.
A broken family
Locked inside.
If only we
Could have known.
