The Crystal Structure

I see beyond me a crystal structure Multi-colored facets from light’s fracture I love the multi-story beauty of a building Crystal so large, the bottom seems so unyielding I approached so I could enter, so I may touch the rainbow I was visited by a guard saying don’t disturb the window So I had to leave the crystal with much disappointment The beauty of the structure takes more than commitment May I someday touch the magnificent crystal And go home with a giant smile so gentle Entrant into Paula Swanson's "I See Beyond......" contest 12/20/2011

Were you having a dream about diamonds? Nice rhyming set of couplets that collectively tells a descriptive story.
