The Crumbs On the Plate

The Crumbs on the Plate By Patrick Kelly The lamp of your life once burned so bright before it crashed to the floor. You crawled around the walls while trying to find the door. You ate from the table of life only to drink the wine of fear. You cursed under your breath, so easy on a sensitive ear. What happened to your dreams, now that you’re all alone? What made you struggle against your pride in fear of the great unknown? Did you not know, you could light your lamp from the light of the Savior’s love? Did you know, you could eat at the master’s table, your hunger you can get rid of? He can give you a new insight and he will pull you from your despair. You can seek a new sunrise and find comfort there. The dinner has been served now, and from the table you ate. Nothing remains of your old life, but the crumbs on the plate.
