The Crosses In My Eyes
I see you on the Calvary
I've seen you carry the cross
Wearing a crown of thorns
I've seen you wearing my sins
Pierced and bleeding
I've seen the many crosses on you
Me who is the Pontius Pilate, sometimes unsure of where I stand
Me who is the people, ready to crucify you at any time
Me who is the Barabbas, "freed" by my own sins
Me who is the guards, always instilling more pain
Me who is the golgotha, dry and empty
Am a mess, i mess a lot
My own doing, my deeds
My own crosses, but You are ever so forgiving
The blood stained crosses, the vision that lives in me
The reminder of Your love for me
