The Cross
While still under the old law
They never understood what they saw
He opened blinded eyes and did much good He made the lame to walk as they should
For the right and the truth, He stood
He miraculously turned water into wine
He invited hungry thousands to dine
He was peaceful, loving, and kind
He never committed a crime
He chose one who collected tax
Only one healed leper came back
He let his bright light shine
Many lost sheep he did find
All the world was dark and lost
Jesus loved all and died on a cross
