The Creek
River so deep, fathomless
attractive, intriguing
The stories
your dark waters
concealed
My canoe crashed
obscure boulder,
inconspicuous blockade
So much for my wisdom
and being older
The watercourse
became narrow
the stream
became weak
My majestic river
dwindled
to an unpretentious creek.
