The Covenant Spirit

They were times many decades ago when the truth of God cost much blood in those days when scripture was banned threats of execution flowed like a flood Covenant meetings were not allowed forcing believers to go upon a hill hoping and praying they won’t be caught for if they were they could be next kill But these God fearing believers were determined and solidly brave not caring about their own life many hid undercover even a cave Some gave their lifes at the stake others hung some set on flames those that travelled all over Scotland never be forgotten whatever their names We have God’s inspired word today but lack that same covenant spirit oh for God to grant that power again may we treasure it and not bury it! (In the 17th century in Scotland they were great persecution among Christian believers, many going to their death for standing for the truth of God and it's largely due to their stand for God that we have our relative Christian freedom today in Scotland.)
