The Convincing
You've been hurt so many times before, that you're afraid of what's in store.
Maybe it would be best, if you wouldn't detest, take a simple test.
So you're destination you'll know, and you won't be afraid to go.
This is the deal, you've got to get real, with yourself and with God, you can't
always be odd.
This is the dare, or else you go where? Don't you know where those
people on the fence go? They go down, into the ground, for infinity and beyond.
It's so hot down there it would burn you, Hon.
Anyway, I came here to say, the devil owns the fence. And if you don't repent
now you may never get the chance.
The welfare of your life depends on you, that's the end of this poem.
What are you going to do?
