The Continueing Sage of Zack Waverly Vol 6 Page 2
Page 2
Still I couldn't help but wonder
what the ruckus was about
and I stopped being curious
when a single shot rang out
I flew through the open door
being fast upon my feet
but only one was left to see
lying still upon the street
I walked toward him with caution
Kinda sideways, heal to toe
I was guessin' he was dead
but I didn't want to know
As I knelt beside the body
placed my ear upon his chest
I saw the shiny silver star
that was pinned there on his vest
That's when the towns folk started coming
as they starred in disbelief
The men just shook their heads
and the women wept in grief
Someone said "He must have shot him"
While another asked "That's so"
and with the look that crossed their face
I thought, it's better that I go.
To be continued tomorrow same time same place
