The Color Purple

The Color Purple Lightning bolts across the sky casting shadows for you and I to witness and marvel with delight or cower and tremble from our fright of God's awesome power on display humbling us as we give thanks and pray. Dear Lord up on high forgive us our debts from they and I. Teach us to love and cherish the blessings you share. Let us count them all if we dare. And let "love each other" be our yearn with peace and charity in return. by, Martin Braun 6/11/2020

I take this as a more reflective corollary to your previous poem: ‘I am dead...‘ It gives a welcome positive slant on current life. Well said, Martin.

Thank you! Whatever I witness and the Holy Spirit dictates I put to pen. I pray whatever I put down draws the best from everyone who experiences it.
