The Clown Behind the Sun
The shining smile of kingdom come
The light to all your dark
That creepy grin, those wily eyes
The sordid, playful lark
The rays of warmth caress your face
And heat the laden cold
A crimson shiver down your neck
Brings demons to the fold
The blinding beauty calms your mind
With dreams of lucid flight
The fiery bark of evil lips
The teeth of laughter’s fright
Angelic hues and peaceful chimes
Bring forth the summer dance
A deep bolero brings alive
The sins of dark romance
And all the time it tickles you
This cosmic ball of fun
And all the time he’s watching you
The clown behind the sun
