The Clean Air of Autumn

A crisp morning, I wake fully revived Summer is gone as I look out the door Leaves begin to fall, it’s finally arrived Now we can open the windows once more. Pansies are planted, their faces upturned Squirrels gather nuts for the winter to come Enjoying the patio has now returned Sitting outside with a hot buttered rum. Decorating with pumpkins ‘round the yard With fall colored mums arranged in a vase To find beauty in autumn, its’ not hard For Her magic touch is found everyplace. A breathe of fresh air to end summer’s heat The clean air of autumn cannot be beat.
