Just a touch of humor and truth.

The Chick Under the shelter of the mother’s wing a baby chick can hide, nourished and safe from the cares of this world as long as there he will abide. Yet, he has to be able to learn to share and share alike, for he has brothers and sisters who want what he has like, for instance that pretty new bike. Consequently, the wise chick says to himself why, I am going to strike out on my own, why I’m too big for the wing stuff and what would my friends think back home. What the chick doesn’t know won’t hurt him? Hey, I’m sorry my friend that just isn’t so, why there are devilish weasels waiting out there when they see him alone after him they will go. So, my son, I mean dear chick the time comes so soon that you gladly will fly away, but wait just a little bit longer and under momma’s wing learn to trust and obey. Written by: Marilyn S. jennings
