The Cheater
I was hiding in the shadows,
he didn't see me there.
I watched him kiss her lips,
And stroke her long dark hair.
The body language was sure,
There was no reason left to doubt.
He was cheating on me,
And I had just found out.
I was left dumbstruck, but I remembered,
He was going out each day and night.
But he always fed me excuses,
I chose to accept instead of fight.
Keeping a calm mind and body,
Refusing to unhinge,
I'll stay focused and strong,
While I plan my sweet revenge.
10 years of love and marriage,
It now seemed such a waste,
To have married this sorry loser,
I will leave him post-haste.
I will take all the money,
As you probably already knew,
The cars, the gold, the house,
And the boat, which was new.
I will get some satisfaction,
Although I may be sad and blue.
I will move on with my own life,
With a man that is true.
