The Challenge

The Challenge By Franklin Price 5/12/2015 The challenge of a rhyming poem Having rhythm to it too Is much like living daily life In everything we do The Ebb and flow of words on page Contemplation for each phrase Planning for our lives tomorrow Contending with remaining days Don't think too hard to find the word That makes sense and will belong Live your life with no regret By doing right and never wrong Think about the story How the reader it will touch Give of yourself to others Don't think of yourself so much The words will come if meant to be As will the rhythm and the rhyme The challenge of the life we live Will resolve itself in time

This is a very comforting read. The substance of it appeals to both the poet and the theorist.

What you wrote, my friend, is crystal clear And so beautifully put to light One need not toil or labour hard Everything will fall in place, there's no need to fight. (Loved your flow and the theme. Thank you so much)

Written directly in the comments box. The "Return" Stroke didn't seem to work.

In my opinion, this is a well constructed poem with a meaningful message.

Aha! You've made it sound so easy. And for you I believe it is. I have to work a little harder, but it gets easier with time. And, being an octogenarian, I've had quite a bit of time.

Hello Franklin, Like this poem because I struggle with fitting rhyme and rhythm together. Mine never seem to resolve. Oliver
