The Challenge

Challenges... "one who does not judge but listens".... Have I found that person.? that speaks volumes in the book of my life these past few years ...you can't possibly imagine. The people who have abandoned me due to my change in circumstance no one could have forewarned me of...and if they had, I might not have believed them .... the sense of betrayal has gone, that is their journey -if they have a need to hold onto some old shoe they feel comfortable in even if it rubs them the wrong way- so be it... i too don't forget, and the callous may remain as a tutor; but I have an immense capacity for forgiveness - - it's the aquarian need for harmony I suppose. Yes, I know..life ...healing hurt and confusion-- finding new direction, new purpose ... this change may be good for me.. London beckons, The need to move on...definitely not getting any younger, but the fact that I cannot see any forboding signs down the road gives me hope .....as the saying goes, where there's breath there's hope -- i will follow this path,my new vision of me, not to see where it leads me, but for the pure pleasure of the journey.... They can laugh at my blunders, the same ones they have had a lifetime to dust off from, and give their piteous looks as they utter I should know better...but how else does one learn after knowing only one way for so so very long. That's how it's been these past few years, acceptance of the things i cannot change and building the courage to change the things i can ....and as the serenity prayer goes -- having the wisdom to know the difference... ... yes, i do know where I must go.. ...but the evil i know doesnt scare me anymore, and looking back through the prism of yesterday can even make me smile... fuel of faith for my own journey and the ability to laugh and learn from the many mistakes of the experienced 'traveller' that I am. Now I hope i have not just rambled on..and on.. Have you been there ?
