The Carousel
A bright painted fawn she choose
Face aglow, roses lightening dawn
The reds, the yellows and the blues
On the bright painted fawn
All around the spirals and bon bon
Frilly frocks and bright red shoes
Streets lined with dew filled lawn
The carnival in all its hues
Eyes closed mind in a swoon
She laughed her pain, a perfect ruse
On the bright painted fawn
