The Candle
Another Friday night, alone
Keeping terrorists at bay--
While the patrons utter not a word,
Unsure of what to say.
But ah, the world, a safer place,
T is a victory, I know--
But the candle on my table;
It should elsewhere softly glow.
For candles are for lovers--
Let the light their kiss betray;
Kindly place mine on their table,
And I'll go my darkened way.
