The Calling
Treading softly over luscious loam and skeletal leaves
Wisps of virtuoso violin slipping through cracks in topiaries
A savory smoke curing wild boar
With bated breath I hunt the soireé
Convivial spirits frolic in elaborate tongues
Entwining reveries immortal phantasms become
Malaccas irreverently gurgling absinthe
Stars making pilgrimage is the sigil I seek
Mutual eloquence gayly unfurling repressed romance
Battered vessels of spirits employ quills to dance
Fey conversation coyly flirting
My heartbeats float eagerly ahead in the myst
An enchanted portal draws its curtain for my shining vulnerability
Blood pulsing, nerves humming, embrace measure of capability
A sea of eyes on reflection twinkles?
Rainbow sparks! Rest breathing, mingle
