The Call

I was having a bad week I couldn’t stop the tears I was really missing you And wishing you were here I hadn’t talked to you in What seemed like weeks I wanted to call But I was to meek I finally got the courage To pick up the phone I punched in the numbers And I heard the dial tone I began to hesitate When the phone began to ring But then you picked up You made me want to sing We didn’t talk long But it was so sweet You made me so happy For the rest of the week Maybe next time It won’t take so long To pick up the phone And give you a call
