The Busy Easter Bunny
The Easter Bunny hardly sleeps come spring
for children are awaiting the gifts he will bring
When flowers bloom and the ground starts to thaw,
he's making baskets and posing with kids at the mall
Hand-decorated and colored eggs are ready to hide
sugary candy-filled dreams will not be denied
Easter baskets overflow with chocolate galore
and he brings a lily corsage for Mom to adorn
In church yards and parks, the Easter Bunny hides eggs
scattering them for children to find on anxious legs
Soft and furry bunny friends are a special gift
for little ones to snuggle while to sleep they drift
After all hidden eggs have been searched and found
and chocolate-filled tummies are full and round
The Easter Bunny hops home for a well-deserved rest
with all children happy, he has done his bunny best!
