The Book In the Library
Marie Claire can't resist opening
one page of the book to the other-
she's so addicted with it, that
her husband thinks she's having an affair-
private spies have been hired;
"it's only a book that I see her reading
in a library" is the spies' only answer
to her husband.
One day, her husband secretly follows
her to the library - he carries a rosary,
in case her lover is a vampire - vampires
are common in the streets of Paris.
After her eyes digest enough words,
Claire returns to her rest room -
her husband opens the first page
of the book his wife was reading.
His curious eyes grow wider,
when he sees the first words
in a paragraph reading "whoever who
can read the words in this book
is a vampire....."
