The Blonde
The Blonde
Dark person stumbling to the outside rain
Covered in black ash
The subject's sex and name unknown
Fell to the coma concrete blistered
Blue skies a distant shadow as it passes
Fire blasts, tares everything apart
Someone lit a match "by accident"
Flames consumed; structure, occupants, all
That’s all
The person glances one last look back then died
The individual was once a tall blonde man
"It was an accident"
Only minutes ago from what we know
His house fell around him in the blaze
He collapsed. He faded. He passed
A black, red, char-coaled lump of flesh
Huddled on the cold wet curb
Is what remains
