The Bliss of Boredom

I live in a world of my own, My image, carved in stone, No one else can touch what I see, I dream alone, my home within me. I play upon mountain tops, and jump off steep cliffs, My world splashes colour, and constantly shifts, I dream with eyes awake, in light, And walk on starlit shores by night. Imagination is my right, and the essence of my being, And constantly my mind betrays the truth in what I’m seeing. Body seated, face a stare, You’d never know that I’m not there. Alone we wake, and free we rest, Join me and dream, about life’s best. Don’t be afraid to fall from the sky, If life’s a dream, you can never die. So the next time you’re sitting, bored and alone, Exist in bliss, for life, is your throne.
