The Blessing

THE BLESSING "We have nothing to give them, Jesus." "Just two fishes and five loaves of bread." "But what is that among so many?" His concerned disciples said. "It's only a small boy's lunch." "Not even enough for a day." "We have nothing to give them, Jesus." "Why don't you send them away?" There were five thousand people. Jesus asked them to sit down. How would He feed so many? He was far from the stores of town. Jesus took those two fishes and those five loaves of bread from the lad; and He gave thanks to the Father for the little food that they had. Then something miraculous happened as they passed the food around. It multiplied in abundance. Jesus could have fed the whole town. Like the lad, you may have just a little; but give Jesus whatever you've got. In the hands of our Lord and Savior, your little is quite a lot. Janet Marie Bingham
