The Black Window

Bewildered by the light mixed in with dark Conditioned her complexion rather fair If cupid had a bow to touch her heart I would receive a love I pierced to dare Per say the heart only wants what it wants So I began to back away with steps But everytime I came to cross her smile I only dreamed of kisses to her lips Passing the night upon the morning hour I took a chance with knee unto the floor To you my love let us perchance romance To my surprise she opened up her door Her room's decor was natures vintage art A path of plants processing sweet perfume Somewhat of heaven this angelic room And she the angel that my thoughts assume We spoke until the sun became the moon Mesmerized by the values that we shared Her words were soft that sat beside my soul Or shall I say it seemed our souls were paired If liberty is love forevermore Then give me liberty or give me death She kissed me with a knife inside my heart And took away my mortal life of breath Breathless beside a morbid black window Here lays the man who loved a black widow hope, love, fear, despair 08-04-2022 Emile Pinet Strong Emotions
