The Birds

I can hear the birds singing sweetly in the trees and in the skies. Alas, I can not see, because some of them are eating my eyes. Note: Dedicate to the film The Birds, by Alfred Hitchcock.

I remember that film..Very terrifying to me...Interesting write in remembrance of the film and Alfred...Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my work..I have read Sylvia Plath's poem that you mentioned but I was running some poems that I read around in my head and trying to decide about whom to write my Elegy for I have many deceased close relatives..Then I saw a poem by Walt Whitman and the write just flowed after reading what he had written..Thanks again for the comments..Sara

Love the contrast of the ambient first line to the darkness that then penetrates the readers softened senses with a sharp blow in the second; great use of language and I must say - a brilliant film! Thanks, keep writing, Gavin.
