The Best Thing
When I saw you the other day
You saw me too.
You smiled
Like I was the best thing in your world
And started walking to me.
When you reached me
You hugged me
Then took my hand
And lifted me up
Into your arms.
And in that instant
I felt complete.
I felt like this
Was all I wanted,
To have you never let me go,
To never leave your side,
And to be with you forever.
Because you are the best thing
In my world.
