The Beauty of Silence

Be still and quiet, Let the silence bathe you in warmth, Shelter you, and let you breath free. Be still and quiet, Not a voice calling your name, Not a sound from the street. Be still and quiet, Only the beating of your heart, And the touch of the breeze. Be still and quiet, Let your mind crave solitude, To gather strength and heal. Be still and quiet, Hold fast to these pauses in life, For they are dear and essential. Be still and quiet.

While it is very difficult to be still and quiet with the days activities buzzing about, achieving them is indeed wonderful. Love the flow and tone of this read. Excellent! Michael

Barbara I work with teens at church and for my job and they are always totally wired into some sort of noise. I feel sorry that they will never know how healing silence can be. Laurie
