The Battle Within

I speak of My God with a heart that's on fire I speak of My God with a true desire I speak of My God who has given me life I speak of My God that only a few will see his light I speak of My God who has given me faith to dream I speak of My God with no fear and this I've seen I speak of My God who I pray to each night I speak of My God that he will open your eyes bright I speak of My God that he will take away your fright For in God we should love and never judge even for those who mistrust or begrudge. Thank you Richard. This was a great contest and helped to open a lot of doors for people. At first I was angry with your poem we had to read first until I read your other poems and knew what you were doing. It was a great idea to bring people to God and to want to fight for your own belief.
