The Battle Scars of Life

My body is testament to the endless war with life we wage-- from surreal puzzles of purple veins on my feet to a little lump of fat dangling sadly, lonely, 'neath my chin. Life punishes us--not by stealing our youth but in letting us remember, remember its sweetness.
