The Battle

Death, you you will not claim me, I spit upon your grave. Hate, you will not consume me, I will never be your slave. Fear, you will never own me, Against you I am so brave. Life, you are so loving and kind, Everything I need, in you, I will find. Love, you and I are passionate friends, On you, all that I am, will be, depends. Hope, you are my vision of life, You take away all my worry and strife. Faith, you are the glue that binds me, You give me strength that sets me free. Happiness, you are the fuel of life to me, You give me faith and hope to carry on. I live my life in Christ so dear, With Him in me, I have no fear. Against death and hate and fear, The battle has been won. © Dave Timperley July 2016.
