The Awaited Realization
My Reflection,
As i stare at you,
My uniform disheveled,
The aura of loneliness only too obvious,
I think to myself,
What am i in your eyes?
My Reflection,
As i stare at you,
I reminisce,
Oh how enigmatic you were,
Gave everyone a chance to see you whole,
I look at you now,
Someone i barely recognize,
But i still wonder,
What am i in your eyes?
My Reflection,
As i stare at you,
As i look into your eyes,
My mind wonders to the dead,
How young and beautiful they might be,
Suddenly death is such a good word,
I source for answers,
What am i in your eyes?
My Reflection,
As i stare at you,
As a drop of tear,
Makes its way down your spotted cheek,
I wish you wouldn't cry,
I wish i could embrace you,
Restore you, Assure you,
But you yield no response,
So i ask,
What am i in your eyes?
My Reflection,
As i stare at you,
As i watch you painfully bleed,
You look at me,
As if longing for my embrace,
Our eyes meet,
Should i just let you bleed?
Should i let those tears run?
Or should i free you miss,
From the bondage you built for yourself,
You look away,
What am i in your eyes?
My Reflection,
As i stare at you,
Suddenly all your flaws become priceless,
Your beauty surpasses all,
You smile,
My heart is glad,
A goddess in my eyes,
But,
What am i in your eyes?
