The Apple

An apple could represent love, And make a harsh statement on your mind For it’s poisonous on the left side, And golden on the right It’s a chance we take, With a blindfold around your eyes It seems that the apple is pure, But deadly on the other side I was scared for so long, That I would have the vile side And end up plaguing my heart And leaving my emotions to die The apple tree stays beautiful Filled with fruit and standing tall But not all of the apples were perfect, Because one of the apples would fall Now with your blindfold, Wrapped around your eyes too tight They told you to hold your breath Breathe in, and take a bite.
