The Angel and the Fireman

A fireman named Fred was happy in his marriage but sad He had no children and would have been glad if someone just called him dad A boy came around named Ken whose one desire was to be a fireman The two became friends and when the boy turned ten gifted with a fire hat by Fred happy on his bike he ran. Soon came back frantic smoked red a house was on fire he said With two boys on first level in bed three on the upper that looked dead Sounded the alarm on the truck with Fred through the streets the fire trucks sped From the fire were all saved except Ken on the ground laid lifeless the boy fireman Choking their tears were all looking at him when turning to Fred: I am your Angel said Ken As he vanished was heard by no other fireman except by Fred who believes he'll meet in heaven his Ken.
