The Angel

She slept in fields of gold Finally succumbing to the fact that she was alone She had demons They came to taunt her every day She had trouble breathing Yet she had so much to say Words were a forbidden thing It is just something else beautiful waved in her face Just to be taken away, she tried to sleep her life away She was- always tired.. One day she met an angel He was beautiful and he just glowed A smile illuminated by the holy light she hid from And she wanted him more than she could ever show Adored him more than he could ever know It made her sad that he could not see his wings And the white light radiating off of him His words..made her happy She wanted to show him everything Take him to see the white waters of the ocean But as they spoke it seemed that the silver sands of time Slipped through her fingers and were taken with the wind She eventually began to dream of the angel Trying to reach her soul to him every night Longing to know what he dreamed of And if she ever crossed his mind The thought raged in her head sometimes Just another beautiful creature That her gods waved before her Just to snatch away and watch her suffer To this day she still tries to speak To this day she still cannot sleep And she still tries to capture his face in sketched picture But she weeps, for you cannot trap that kind of beauty on paper Though she tries every day The Angel...he still smiles when he looks her way..
