The Nigerian Woman's Speech

THE NIGERIAN WOMAN’S SPEECH I, like a fluffy dough, arising from the creation’s basin, woman ,he named me. Then I arose, like a shining sun from the womb of the breaking day, and I declare in a loud voice, I am a ‘womb-man’ I am the potent power in his bowel. I am the fruitfulness of his vine. I am the backbone. I am the pillar. I am a mother-the nurturer. I am a partner- the supporter. I am a wife- the pleasure giver. I am a black woman, with Nigerian blood within my veins.
