Then is life that's passed, its memories encoded in the brain, permanently, you would think, and yet, This is now and it has a name; dementia they say, a Latin word they say (demens is demons I say), a medical certainty they say, and yet I hold on to just a single day, just today, no memory of the past no memory of the future as it passes; today, only for today, please say my name and remember.

Dear chetta, well woven write, on a subject that is very deep. I love the way your lines flow and how youv especially written “ This is now and it has a name; dementia they say, a Latin word they say (demens is demons I say), a medical certainty they say, and yet I hold on to just a single day, just today,“ dementia is something thats not easy to deal with, whether it is loved ones o u. Your way with expressing always has that evocative touch. The ending hits deep! Congratulations on your win
