That Unpromising Smile
You give me that unpromising smile
I hear your murmurs and cries
Please stay awhile…stay awhile…
You’re a lovely child in my eyes
Angels do fly
Like eagles in the free-spirited sky
Darling, don’t worry –
Don’t be afraid of the currents of the wind
Baby, I’ll carry your load –
Release your happiness
Promise me you’ll be like this
As long as we both depend on each other
I won’t deny that I think fondly of you
Oh, and I don’t know the reason why
We fly so high
In the aqua-blue sky
You give me that grumpy frown
And it signals something’s wrong
I give in to gravity – we’re spiraling down
Spiraling down…and you’re wearing a woeful gown
You’re everything I love
You are the miracles that sprinkle from up above
Angels do fly
Like eagles in the free-spirited sky
Darling, don’t rush things through –
I’ll swallow my pride…
There’s nothing to hide
There’s nothing to hide
Don’t be afraid of the currents of the wind
Baby, I’ll carry your load and I’ll be by your side–
Release your cheerfulness every single day
Promise me you’ll be remain this way
As long as we both depend on each other
I won’t deny that I think highly of you, my darling angel
Oh, and I don’t know the reason why
We fly so high
In the aqua-blue sky
Promise me one last time
That you will be brave
And grow like a tree flourishingly
You didn’t lose hope and you held on to the rope
With a good grip
You’re a strong child
You made my heart dance to your priceless tune
I feel so soft and distasteful like a prune
We will hold each other tight soon
Before the afternoon…
While you took wing,
I watched you soar away…foolishly
I won’t bid
You a farewell!
Where does your heart dwell?
