Author's Notes: This romantic Shakespearean Sonnet, entitled: "That Spring Love in Your Eyes," is a love sonnet that I set in "Varied Meter" for this write. I wrote this sonnet to reflect a reaffirmation of that "special spring love" that I both sense and see in the eyes of someone very special: My wife of 25 years -- Ingrid. I pretty much think the words of this sonnet speak for themselves. Shakespeare himself could not have written this one any better, for this is a true tribute from me to my lovely wife. That Spring Love in Your Eyes Spring Love’s in your eyes for me now to see, And it reaffirms thoughts of our special love; And there is no other place I would rather be, As we kiss deeply under the moon light above! Darling with you in my arms this spring season, My feelings are of such passion with true bliss; We are “two” together by His Heavenly reason, And for this our time together is never amiss! With spring in bloom and God’s blessing above, My heart’s yours forever my love please know; For I know our emotions are of the deepest love, And for this Darling to the Earth’s end I would go! I know you sweet wife had to have loved that sonnet my friend! Fourteen lines of gold and all about how much you love her... My wife now fully expects my daily poem to her. The rewards are fabulous for we that so openly let our wives know how much they are loved, appreciated and needed. A7

Disregard my other entreaty to you about reading my new sonnet here!! Looks like you found it!! Like you Robert, I do enjoy very much writing sonnets whether they be Shakespearean or Petrarchan (although I tend a bit more toward Shakespeare). Heroic Couplets in Iambic Pentameter are another favorite of mine too!! You're right -- the rewards for showing our affection for our wives is quite fabulous indeed. Best Wishes!! Gary
