That Is No Longer There
That Is No Longer There
Worked another eighty hours this week
Before I finally had reached my peak
And short time later then had exploded
On my baffled husband I unloaded.
An opportunity we might miss full of gold
As each day we do continue to grow old
And only time now in our lives is fleeting
Do like neighbor who we are often meeting.
Grand children are growing older day by day
And there is nothing left for me to say
To husband who has been quiet as a mouse
Except, I think we should sell the house.
Of course, in an instant we will bet
Our nice neighbor will become upset
The one who pleasant, perfect and nice
Who gives us great, sound and solid advice.
Things appear traumatic and times are dim
While you sit there thinking about them
So instead of feeling sorry for yourself again
New house near Lake Norman should move in.
Fishing, fun and much glee will fill the air
By being close to them showing you care
Knowing now that you may be instrumental
In relieving parent's anxieties probably mental.
Next door neighbor can still see once in a while
And new neighbors there will be on trial
To meet incredible standards and to compare
With previous neighbor that is no longer there.
