That I May See
Let me live, a little bit,
The lives of other men,
That I may better understand,
The ways of some of them.
Remind me often of my goal,
And be my steady source,
Of strength and courage through the years,
And help me hold my course.
Let me not be quick to judge,
Nor slow to lend an ear,
That I may somehow ease a pain,
Or wipe away some tear;
But if at times my temper flares,
And I should hurt another,
Forgive me Lord, and ease the pain,
I may have caused my brother.
Jesus said:
"IF YOU CAST YOUR BREAD UPON THE WATERS YOU WILL FIND THAT AFTER MANY DAYS IT WILL RETURN UNTO YOU."
In other words, what goes around comes around.
One of the greatest shocks of life is finding out that people are not perfect;
but an even greater shock is finding out that neither are we.
