Thanksgiving Day

Turkey sitting on the table Have some more if you are able All the kids have run outside Now it's time for that sled ride Keep on sending praise above So thankful for my family's love Grateful for so many gifts I'm full of joy,my spirit lifts Voices scattered through the rooms In harmony the singing booms Now everyone joins in the song Gramps at piano plays along Delighted children come in from play As the family bows their heads to pray Yet one more awesome Turkey Day! Reads like a winner to me..When I saw the title, I thought it would be nice to have some turkey and dressing today for lunch but the poem was so impressive about the being thankful..I am glad that I chose this one to read today..On my poem about the "Sweet Gum Tree", they produce seed pods that are round.. These pods drop off in the fall and winter..If a person steps on one, one foot goes one way while the other foot goes another..Banana Split..Can be very painful fall therefore the danger..Sara

Hi Deb! Here's wishing you good luck in the the contest! This is very nice...nothing like family at Thanksgiving...besides the meal, the warmth of family is priceless!!..I haven't time to write entries for all the contests, so I'll just have to pick one or two..but it's fun!! Love, Audrey
