Thanksgiving Betrayal
Thanksgiving
Has lots of good food
And gratitude, sometimes moods.
Not all celebrate it;
Keeping this in mind,
So you can gain perspective from woes of humankind.
Go to a native pow-wow
In any state, at all;
Very often natives will tell you about how
In their own words, about the death call.
Not celebrating thanksgiving,
Grants them the respect they deserve.
Because of that first Thanksgiving;
Every tribe has suffered and observed;
Tears, trials and deceit;
Ran, as they were thrown a bad curve.
Along Americas’ rivers, lakes and even streams;
Yes many folk have suffered.
As a result, they have a traumatic past, of lost dreams;
Legacies of sorrow; for their pain’s, not one bit buffered.
