Thanking the Dark Times
The days are dark, then comes the dawn
For one without the other cannot be
A day without night, can it really shine?
And with only darkness, can you really see?
You must have pain before you can heal
It will make you stronger, so you can live
If life were always easy, would you grow
To welcome the light, learn to forgive?
Tho it be hard to accept life’s pains
You must learn… this is an opportunity
As heat tempers steel to make it strong
You must learn to accept each adversity.
Be thankful when life gives you challenges
Know the light will shine when they are gone
For without them there’d be no love or joy
When dark turns to day, as you move on.
