Thankful Through the Storm

Thankful Through the Storm Dr. Jim martin The wind blew eerily through the night, Darkness was all around. Gone was the normal evening delight, Jubilation was nowhere to be found. The hours and minutes crept slowly by, Stillness among the children prevailed. The dog would give an occasional sigh, The kitty, periodically, wailed. The night seemed to all eternally long, Sunrise seemed forever away. Missing was the warbler’s beautiful song The longing was wanting for play. Finally the sun peeked through the cloud And stillness filled the air. Inside was found a delighted crowd, Gone was the prolonged despair. Gratitude was given to the Father above, With sincerity of heart and soul. Thankfulness for His unending love All did joyfully extol.
