Thankful For Living
I see the grass growing above my feet,
The erratic flying of the humming bee,
A profusion of flowers comely and sweet,
I am thankful for what I hear and see.
The beaches filled with swimmers having fun,
Ice-cream and cold drinks selling in abundance;
Thanks to the blue sky and the blazing sun,
As the calm seas, the atmosphere enhance.
I observe the generosity of the human heart,
The unwelcoming storms of my inhabiting;
Cleansing the sins for a fresh start,
Curing the wrongdoings by tears subsiding.
