Thank You Lord
Thank you Lord for all you give
This beautiful world on which we live
I know we fail your holy charge
We spend way too much time in others yards
I for one feel truly blessed
Can’t hope to speak for all the rest
My wife and children they are my life
With them by my side I stem the strife
I wake up with a smile each day
So amazed nothing but to say
Oh, oh, oh thank you Lord
You built us a road no harm could cross
Yet we wander about as if we are lost
It seems so simple really quite clear
Just get on your road from here to there
You gave us free will and stood back to see
If we would make it all it should be
I’m sorry there are always the greedy few
Who take far far more than they can use
Maybe as your eternal day draws near
Those greedy ones will feel the fear
Then their hearts will grow pure and clear
And we can step on your road from here to there
As I lay down my head to sleep
I pray my soul is yours to keep
You filled my life with shining light
You always kept me safe from night
Oh, oh, oh, thank you Lord
