Thank You Big City

Thank you Big City for the new buildings and the new stores and the new street lights, thank you for the new neighborhoods, thank you for the new houses, thank you for the new roads, thank you for the big new factories. Thank you from the deer that have no where to run but the road. Thank you from the birds that have no trees to build their nest. Thank you from the stars which cannot be seen for the street lights. Thank you from the trees that gave their life for the houses. And most of all thank you from the fireflies whose life will be wiped out by all the progress. Thank you from the children who can't play in the woods and climb the trees and be just kids. Thank you from the children that will never get to play with the fireflies and be amazed by their glow. thank you Big City for all your progress.
