Testament

A silver beam of moonlight sears your face within my memory, branding you forever on my heart. Its soft flare reveals a trace of sadness there, as this fateful evening we must part. My grieving soul doth languish in the dark, flowers have ceased to bloom, their fragrance spent; only your swift return will flame the heavens and prompt the lark to burst forth into song, O joyous testament!

Your feelings come through strong and straight from the heart where most good poetry is born. You paint a picture with words and you make us feel them...this is hard to accomplish and you do it well. Emile. #7
